Then you find out -aliens!!!  Yes, the unusual appearance and language spoken is all down to the hotel owner and staff being aliens out to launch a biological attack against humanity.

Annoyingly, your companion seems to know all of this.

A German Publisher For D-Gruppe?

I was asked why I did not try a German publisher for D-Gruppe? 

It's a long and depressing story but Bastei Verlag were supposedly going to until Egmont bought them and comic projects were cancelled.

Another German company expressed interest but after 6 months they just went silent and vanished within a year.

I have tried but it seems US and Japanese reprints are of more interest so, although it would be nice to have a publisher who could publish, distribute and take care of all the other stuff... I really cannot see it happening.

Well, now I have the story!

 At 0130hrs (UK) I was bored so put together the Schwarze Laterne promo. As I watched someone yack on about action figure conversion on You Tube at 0330hrs the entire story of the Black Forest death ran through my head. So I have the story just need to draw it.

D-Gruppe and The Ultimate Game

 Ben Dilworth was the original inker on The Ultimate Game back in the 1980s when it was submitted to Fleetway. Roll around to 2012 and he decided to retry the idea but include D-Gruppe.

I've added the original pages plus some of the 2012 pages as back-up content in The Ultimate Game -this is the 2012 rough pages.

Black Tower Super Heroes: The Ultimate Game runs to 188pp and, guess what?  Insekten Konig and Waldmeister guest star!

D-Gruppe, as a team, will appear in the next Black Tower Super Heroes if all goes well but...I'm the only artist around so.....
